The  title is in a futuristic font which connotes that this is Sci-Fi genre. The release date is near summer.Most blockbuster films are released near summer. The Director for this film was Bryan Singer. The films production company is Marvel Entertainment and TSG Entertainment and Twentieth Century Fox Film Corporation.
We can tell that this is a Sci-Fi film poster because there is a shine on the letter 'M' in the title which draws your eye to the font. The billing block is in a shadow of black because it would make the it stand out. X-Men is the biggest sized font because the previous films were big blockbuster so everyone notice's that another has been released.

Institution 

The effect of having such a famous actor is that people would be intrigued to watch the film, this is the same for a famous director. This film has broken the franchise box office record in just 9 days.One of the film company that produced X-Men was Marvel Entertainment. Marvel Entertainment films are normally in an Sci-Fi action packed genre. This is a reason why this was a big hit! Marvel doesn't usually sign famous actors therefore, this makes them more famous as they have new actors all the time.

Audience

This film looks like it is targeted to a mixed gender however it could be more to men. The thing that makes it targeted to women as well is the blue women in the back. The way we can tell is that on the poster there are more men than girls.The age that this films targets is 12 and higher. This looks like a dystopian future content which kids wouldn't really understand.

Language

The centre of the poster is taken up by a man and a women which apply's  that they are the main characters since they take up the most. The man is in a heroic stance as he is showing his powers from the knuckles. The women in the back is looking straight on but is half covered, this could mean she is under protection or she is a helper for the man. The background is buildings which is broken. this mean there will be chaos. this comes under the concept of dystopian future. Another reason is that half of the poster is red and the other half is blue, the red could indicate evil and the blue can indicate good. this shows there will be a rival between them. There are robots flying in the air in the corner, this tells the audience that this film is set in the future.

 Iron Man 3

Section 1

1) The sub-genre for Iron Man 3 would be experimental, mutation and dystopion future.  

2) In Iron Man 3, Tony Stark( Robert Downey Jr.) comes across a malignant enemy and has taken away his loved ones. He has to be more dependant on this suits to take down his enemy Mandarin       ( Ben Kingsley) in order to save his loved one, Pepper (Gwyneth Paltrow). Mandarin also uses Tony Starks iron suits against him.

3) The setting is linked to a Si-Fi genre because Tony Starks house is a modern house which shows the glimpse of future creations and technology. In the Film, there is robots talking and working which this generation does not have. He roams in his house as if the future technology was not new to him. This is what Si-Fi is known for, its futuristic concept.

4) Robert Downey Jr. is linked to Sci-Fi because most of this film are in Si-Fi and action based genres. He is also linked to Si-Fi film because his personality is like he knows what he is doing which suggests that he understands technology more than anyone.

5) The narrative theme for this film would be dystopian future which's fits into an action and Sci-Fi genre because in the end there is an fight using technology.There is so much chaos at the ending of the film which shows an dystopian future. Technology is being used to protect him and other people which no one uses in this generation.

1) The production company for Iron Man 3 is Marvel who presented it. Paramount Pictures is also a production company for Iron Man 3 but they are in association with DMG Entertainment for the film.

3) Marvel Comics was founded in 1939. It first started as comics then into a film production company. It was then called Marvel Entertainment.

4)  The Walt Disney Company is the parents of Marvel. On August 31, 2009, The Walt Disney Company announced a deal with marvel.

5) Marvel is famous in many ways. They are the production company for many famous films like Spider-Man 1-2 and 3, Captain America,The Incredible Hulk, Fantastic 4 and many more. Marvel has also been associated with Columbia Pictures in Spider-Man. There has been films where Marvel has also have been with Universals Studios, Paramount Pictures and 20th Central Fox.

6) Iron Man 3 cost about $200 million to make. Iron Man 3 made $409 million domestically and internationally, it made $806 million so in overall the film made about $1.2 billion.

7) Iron Man 3 has won many awards and been nominated many times as well! It has won the Summer 2013 Blockbuster Trailer , Best Comic Book Adaptation Movie , Peoples Best Voted Action Movie 2013. The only thing that people criticized Iron Man 3 was that the film was more focused on Tony Starks life than Iron Man's. Another thing that people said was the script was not good because it had shown a hostage scene with a child. The thing that was wrong in this was the Tony Stark made look like he was doing nothing bad, making it look like it was ok.

8) The targeted audience is around the age of 13 to 18 years old because this is like a superhero film which teenagers would like. The film is for men and women.

1. I picked media studies because i find it intersting to edit clips and photos. My friends have recommemed it to me so i have given it a try.

2. I am looking forward to the the music video part the most.

3. I hope to learn how to edit videos with a complex software and a complex camera to make my understanding better.

5. The last film i watch was Kingsmen and the last TV show i watched was Lost.

6. I think that the tv show is targeted to the audience becuase of it major twist in the story, causing you to watch more.

7. I have used my phone to get a tv show up in the last 24 hours because it is qucik and instant.

8. In my opinion, i have used my phone the most because it more quicker. I use social media like facebook, instagram and twitter.

9. Jurassic World is like action, adventure and si-fi.

10.Jurassic World is a family targeted film because of it a sequal of Jussaic Park. However the age rating is 12A because of its dinosaur idea. The opeing scene is with a family so the first thing people would think that it is a family film.
